After finalising the initial design idea and size of panel, the glass pieces are laid over the design and then cut to size using a precision glass cutter. The glass must fit the design perfectly - one piece too small will result in a gap, a piece too big will push the rest of the design out of shape.

Larger panels are

constructed with lead came both for strength, aesthetic and weatherproofing properties. The glass is sandwiched between the lead came and the design painstakingly constructed using horseshoe nails to hold it all together before the lead is soldered and cemented.

Pendants are fired in a kiln using a variety of glass pieces and dichroic materials before cooling prior to assembly.

For smaller panels the Tiffany method of copper foiling is used before soldering the cut glass together.
